“Origami Flower Workshop”

By Akiko Kunst

Supplies:

·        Good working condition sewing machine with new needle.

·        Basic sewing supplies…. Scissors, needles, pins, thread, iron…etc.

Materials: Cotton is the easiest to work with. I found batik hold creases better than calico.

·        Origami flowers. Cut 6”squares. Need 5 squares to make 1 nine-patch. To make double nine-patch wall hanging, need 25 squares.

·        Background fabric.

1.     Cut 3” squares. Need 4 squares for 1 nine-patch. For wall hanging, need 20 squares.

2.     Cut 4(four) – 8”squares to make big nine-patch. Or you can make regular 8” unfinished nine-patch.

Please cut out squares before come to the class.
